Hello!

Some weekends are meant for grazing, and Easter is one of them. But even if you’re not celebrating, you never need an excuse for a lazy brunch. Here are some of my best spring recipes, with a mix of sweet and savory bakes you can set out and return to throughout the day.

Ricotta Pie

This is my most popular recipe for spring: a creamy ricotta filling with a hint of lemon and almond baked inside of a sweet Italian pie pastry. It's a tradition in my house!

Raspberry Coconut Macaroon Pie

This unique take on a raspberry pie features a jammy raspberry coconut filling and a chewy coconut streusel topping, reminiscent of a macaroon, baked in a buttery flaky pie crust. It's fruity, sweet and a bit unexpected, in all the best ways. This is the pie that I've been asked to bring to the brunch this weekend!

Pistachio Muffins

This recipe comes from my other website, Everyday Family Eats, and like the other muffin recipes there, it makes a perfect brunch bake. These are true homemade pistachio muffins, made without any packaged mix, with a nutty, tender crumb and a sweet pistachio flavor.

Caramelized Onion Quiche

This sweet and savory combination is exactly what you want on a brunch table. Made with eggs, Gruyère, and jammy caramelized onions, this quiche is rich, deeply flavorful, and the kind of bake that quietly becomes a favorite.

Mini Fruit Tartlets

These Mini Fruit Tartlets are the perfect two-bite desserts, featuring mini tart crusts filled with a simple mascarpone cream, topped with fresh fruit, and finished with an optional but beautiful glaze.

That's it from me this week. Wishing you a few good things on your table this weekend and maybe a little extra time to enjoy them!

Kelli Avila July 17, 2026 Hello and happy Friday! Today we’re celebrating the arrival of strawberry season! Three cheers for that! Even though we live in a time when strawberries are available year round, there’s still something so special about the local crop coming in spring. It’s the anticipation...how much sweeter and more deeply flavored they are, and of course all the fun of planning what to make with them. I’ll admit, most of the strawberries that come into our house this time of year...
